Expert Name Tags
At Milbrook, I noticed that the teacher did everything by herself, she had absolutely no help. So, I decided to make "expert" name tags which the teacher could give to students every day. Two name tags (one boy and one girl) are specifically for I.T. or technology, which is a huge part of the student's learning. The other two (one boy and one girl) are "experts" in general, which means the teacher can pick what she needs their help for.
The name tags connect to the UDL guidelines because it provides multiple means of engagement. In 1st grade, I have noticed that the students love to feel like they are personally helping the teacher. With this said, these name tags can keep the students motived and engaged. The students who complete their work and work the hardest each day could be the ones who get these "I.T." name tags the following day.
